Why is Gohan considered SSJ2 when he fought Broly?

with cooler, the fifth form trans is a defensive one, as seen by the heavy armor design and the ability to move through beams, but apparently does not give the same offensive bonuses. for movie 10, goku was able to temporarily come back because the dragon granted gotens wish to "help us." the common misconception is that shenron can only bring someone back once period, but in fact all that was ever said was that he wont grant the same wish twice, meaning that goku was temporarily brought back to help, but not permanently restored to life, as that wish had already been granted.
list of canon sources:

the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga.

list of non canon sources:

everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality.

for those that blindly follow word of god

But you have to admit, the films sometimes don't make a lot of sense. So if Gohan chose not to use SSJ 2, that could simply be the reason. They sometimes just don't use logic.

Think about this. The SSJ multiplier is 50x a saiyans base power level. SSJ2 is 2x stronger than SSJ. So SSJ2 is 100x a saiyans base power level. If Gohan were to fight Broly all out like he did (considering he recalls the curbstomp he gave everyone 7 years before) he would use SSJ2.
Only if you take those numbers to heart. Personally, I only take the 50x thing seriously. The 2x SSjin 2 and 4x SSjin 3 multipliers seem like crap Toriyama just pulled out of his ***** to me, even though I do use 4x for SSjin 3 in most of my lists. >_>

Piccolo Daimao > Piccolo Jr.

Why should Gohan fight against somebody, he couldn´t beat before as SSJ 1? Were he was stronger. It would be stupid not to use SSJ 2.

Also, i guess the evidence is pretty clear as crystal, Gohan having two bangs in the kamehameha scene which actually already shows that Gohan was SSJ 1, since it plays before the tournament saga and Toriyama changed Gohan´s hairstyle when the tournament begins.

Secondly, Gohan was shown transforming into a Super Saiyan with one bang which obviously means that he is SSJ 2.

You can hardly disprove this with "He had no lightning" yeah like several others who transformed into a SSJ 2 in a movie.

Once upon a time, there used to be a signature. Then it got lame, and now I'm out of options for a new one.
